The “LiFi by Lucibel” Solution: Innovative Technology for Safety and Health.
Light represents a new means of data transmission. Lucibel has developed the world’s first luminaire equipped with LiFi (Light Fidelity) technology, enabling Internet access through lighting fixtures. LiFi is a communication technology using modulated LED light that allows data exchange between a specific LED luminaire and a computer, making Internet access possible. Our current data rate exceeds 100 Mbit/s, providing a complete and secure network solution that combines visible light and infrared.
The LiFi system developed by Lucibel consists of an LED luminaire and a LiFi USB key that transmits and receives information carried by light waves, offering users complete mobility.

Highly Secure Data:
The high-speed, bidirectional data transfer is confined within the light cone, creating a secure information zone that significantly enhances data security. This makes LiFi an excellent alternative to WiFi in sectors where information confidentiality is critical.
An Alternative to Radio Waves (WiFi):
With LiFi, data is transmitted via light waves between the network and the user’s device, eliminating radio wave interference and preventing disruption to medical equipment (such as scanners and MRIs).

LiFi Product Range
We offer a range of LED recessed fixtures that either come with LiFi technology built-in or can be equipped with it later. The photonic antenna emitting the LiFi signal is cleverly concealed within the product, ensuring a discreet integration of the connectivity solution into the ceiling.
LiFi is received on the computer, tablet, or smartphone via the LiFi key, which is the size of a standard USB stick. Packed with advanced technology, the LiFi key receives the signal from the luminaires, decrypts it, then encrypts the return signal, which is sent back to the luminaires.
